Time Out Was a Success!
Time Out for Monday Night Football at ESPN Zone was a huge success! With over 450 people in attendance the event raised over $50,000! Thanks to the Baltimore Ravens, our Corporate Sponsors, and all who attended and contributed to making the 1st Annual Time Out event a night to remember!
Organize an Event
Third party fundraisers are a great way to get your company or organization involved in helping the community, creating awareness for Abilities Network and raising some much needed cash. We have many ideas and ways that you can raise money for a great cause.
Here is a partial list of what some other businesses/ organizations have done:
- Hold a Casual Day at the office
- Plan a bullroast or dinner
- Organize a silent auction
- Have a bowl-a-thon, skate-a-thon or walk-a-thon
- Donate a percent of your sales on a particular day
- Hold a golf tournament
To get started, you must first obtain prior approval from the Abilities Network. Make sure you read the third party fundraising guidelines and complete the application. Abilities Network will notify you when it is approved and send a logo that can be used for materials.
Volunteer Opportunities
Abilities Network can sometimes use help in the office at a busy time or when there are special projects. Volunteer opportunities range from answering phones, filing, and mailings to presenting the Kids on the Block puppet shows to students or assisting at health fairs. All volunteers who work directly or indirectly with consumers will be required to agree to a background check and finger printing.
If you are interested in volunteering, you are encouraged to fill out the volunteer application below and submit to Lyn Elliott, Director of Human Resources. We try to assign you to a task that you would be most interested in. Applications are kept on file and applicants are contacted as needed.
